Screen production at the Auckland Film Studios site dates back to 1992 when filming was undertaken in converted cool stores on the current location for television pilots. This location evolved into Henderson Valley Studios; a facility for film, television and commercials production.

In 2006 Auckland Film Studios opened its new Stage 5. This 1,942 square metre (21,000 square feet) state of the art stage has been well received by international productions. We have also recently added new production offices to ensure that productions are fully catered for and we have been improving the overall studio site for our tenants. This is just the beginning of a new era of development for the studio.

A wide range of productions have used Auckland Film Studios since its inception. Major feature films, through to television series, television movies and a range of television commercials have based their productions at the studios. We can cater for all of your production needs.
